After more than 30 years of reliable service, General Air Products is officially retiring the Dry Air Pac and introducing the Dry Air Pac Advance Series. First introduced in 1995, the Dry Air Pac was the result of forward-thinking design led by Geoff Pridham and his engineering team. At the time, the goal was to take the large, complex skids traditionally used in dry application sprinkler systems and condense them into a single, compact, easy-to-install unit.
The result was the Dry Air Pac, a groundbreaking system that was purpose built for the needs of a dry air system. For three decades, it has been trusted across countless cold storage applications for its efficiency, reliability, and smart design.
President Ray Fremont Jr. honored this legacy by presenting Geoff Pridham with a plaque commemorating the unit’s retirement.
Not only was the Dry Air Pac something special but the Dry Air Pac was special to the industry, it showed the industry that General Air was capable of making something complex for a very unique application”
Now, General Air Products is looking ahead. The new Dry Air Pac Advance Series carries forward the legacy of the original incorporating key upgrades to meet modern system demands, including Pre-Packaged Desiccant Sleeves, Push Connect Fittings, Digital Control Panel, Automatic Drain Valve, and an Oil-Less Option available.
