Where there is compressed air, there is water which means that condensate management is a critical step in supplying clean, dry compressed air to your tools, equipment, and processes. General Air Treatment Drain Valves are suited for any air reservoir tank, air/water separator, compressed air filter, air dryer, or drip leg where the removal of condensate is required. Email us your questions so we can help you find the right drain valve for your application then place an order through our website with confidence.
Types of Drain Valves
- Zero Air Loss Drains
- Automatic Drains
- Timed Drains
- Float Drains
In the process of generating and distributing compressed air, moisture condensation is inevitable. It usually contains oil and other contaminates which can sometimes be particularly aggressive. The FD Series automatic drain has been specially designed to deal with the problem of discharging condensate of this type from the system, reliably and without wasting valuable compressed air. The construction of the auto-drain prevents solid particles from being deposited on the valve seat which could otherwise become obstructed.
The FD2000 begins operation when condensate collects in the bottom of the drain. The float lifts and triggers the drain lever. Drainage ceases when the condensate level falls back to the minimum level. A manual drain valve is also incorporated.
Also Note: aluminum body, float and lever in stainless steel, manual drain valve in brass, oil-resistant gasket

The “CDE” discharges only condensate and is protected from solid particles by an extended surface internal filter. The combination of a robust, high capacity aluminum body with ingenious design and high quality internal components, guarantees precise, reliable operation at working pressures up to 290 psi and compressed air flow rates up to 2650 cfm.
Other Characteristics: Alarm Light, Drain Test Button, Pre-Wired, 5.5 Foot Cable

The “DVA” Automatic Drain Valve is designed to drain condensate from anywhere that condensate collects.
A full ported solenoid valve is electrically timed by a solid state adjustable timer to provide “Off Time” operation from 1 to 60 minutes, and “On Time” operation from 1 to 10 seconds.

The “SCE” unit is designed for the safe and efficient drainage of condensate moisture, oil, water, etc.
The Timer can be supplied for three different voltages, and provides adjustable “Off Time” operation (1-40 minutes), and “On Time” operation (1-20 seconds). The Solenoid Valve has a brass body, stainless steel internals, and the coil type depends on the power supply voltage. The Ball Valve is constructed entirely from chrome plated brass. The Filter seal is ensured by an O-ring inserted under slight pressure (for SCE/16) or by a gasket (for SCE/50).
Electronic condensate drains of the Zero Air series feature:
- Non-wearing magnetic-core level control for optimized and loss free discharge of condensate
- Integrated dirt screen between level measurement and drain valve to protect the diaphragm valve with alarm monitoring
- Diaphragm valve with large cross-section and condensate pilot control for extended service life
- Potential-free alarm contact on ZLD013 and ZLD023

The SCM40 has been designed in order to discharge the oil-mixed condensate from the distributing pipes of high pressure compressed-air systems. While obtaining high opening and closure powers, it makes possible the discharge of liquids, including viscous liquids, which could deposit inside the condensate separators of compressed air. The construction design is such that it does not allow the solid particles to deposit on the discharge orifice, therefore eliminating blockage problems. A separate drainage valve allows manual discharge.
